I still cannot get this function to work properly.
Actually, now, I am not sure the focus stacking is working at all.
Is there some kind of simple test I could do to see if the software changes the focus on the camera?

Focus stacking with Vista not functioning right
When I try to use the focus stacking function at the top where you can set steps and number of photos, if I change the number of steps it resets the number of photos to the default...if I try to change the number of photos it resets the number of steps to the default...and the start and stop buttons...

So I have a Nikon 18-200 lens. Does this mean the focus of my lens can be adjusted 65535 steps anywhere I set it between 18-200? In other words, in rotating the focus ring from one end to the other end, there are 65535 steps? Or, another way...from infinity to 0.5 feet (on my camera) there are 65535...
