I'm buyin Helicon Remote
I have been using DigicamControl since version 1 with my D5100 camera. Then, Digicamcontrol was the best software there was and being free, it was even better. Today, with a D500 and Windows 11, Digicamcontrol is totally unreliable. I am constantly experiencing the software completely shutting down ...

Re: focus stacking finished dialog
Further to my previous post: I fully uninstalled all previous copies of digicam and reinstalled 2.1.6 and it now seems to be working as expected. It no longer locks up when finished and the little "finished" window is now the usual ribbon across the entire screen. The takeaway from this is...

Re: focus stacking finished dialog
I also have a similar problem with windows 11.
In my case the computer locks up and I have to use Taskmanager to close Digicamcontrol and then restart it for the next session.

Re: 2.1.0 - Stable version
Good morning.
It's just a thought but when the "control" panel was doing strange things my camera was set to "auto ISO".
I'm away for a couple of days so will try with manual ISO when I get back.

Re: 2.1.0 - Stable version
some more info. Running 2.1.0 on my win10 desktop all seems to be good inasmuch as I can take a series of shots without any problems. There is one oddity, however. When I first connect the camera, D500, all functions are controllable and initially report as the camera is set up. When I switch to Liv...

Re: 2.1.0 - Stable version
Further to my previous post: I reinstalled ver 2.0.77 on the win 7 machine, still no joy. I switched cameras back to the D5100 that was working and again no joy. Here is the latest log file that includes the last time I used the software successfully, 2.0.77, through to the trials I did today with t...

Re: Version 2.1.0.0 Failed
I had a similar problem with a Win7 laptop. Deleted all references in the registry but still unable to get the older version to run.
I have posted more detail in "Stable Version" thread.

Re: 2.1.0 - Stable version
I have been running version 2.0.77.1 without problems on my Win7 laptop. I upgraded to 2.1.0 stable. It runs for a short time then "stops working" and is closed by windows. I uninstalled 2.1 and tried to reinstall 2.0 but was unable because it said a version was running. After a foray into...
