When doing long series sometimes two pictures are captured while only one is needed

Hello,
I am not an advanced photographer at all, I just need to take long series of documents. I discovered Digicamcontrol, because I had no sucess with installing the Nikoncamera control on a new laptop (worked on the oldlaptop) Digicamcontrol worked immediately
. It works fine but from time to time it's taking two photos at once while I just want one.
I understand I can take photos with Live View or with the camera program? I do with Live View. I put a shortcut on "Capture". Several photos are taken correctly, and then suddenly I got two pictures of the same object, no idea why and no idea where I could configure that.
