Camera Shuts off

Post by TTG » Thu Feb 08, 2018 6:32 am

Hello everyone, I am coming on here today because to be honest I am a bit desperate.

I usually do remote time-lapses and have been using a mac mini for a couple of years. This has worked great but unfortunately I had no way to time the start and finish of my shots. I then came across this fantastic software, at home I was able to use a rebel t5 flawlessly over night and over a span of many days. Recently I was put on to a job where I was using a clients camera (5dm3) and my PC, I programed the shots and they started on time but for some odd reason the camera would shut itself down after a couple of hours (12 or more)!

Once I informed the client of the issue he rented another camera, we hooked it up and boom it happened again. I switched the computer to the mac mini setup and have no issues thus far (he also provided a replacement dummy battery for external power). I now have the PC back at home and I am testing it with my 7d, again for some reason it shut off again after about 12 hours.

Any guidance will help! I took that dummy battery that was hooked up to the 5dm3 home and hooked it to my 7d. Can this be the issue???

Here is a snap of my message log and my time-lapse settings:
