Nikon D3300 focusing isn't working in live view

Post by Zotyo » Thu Feb 08, 2018 11:18 pm

Hi there friends,

I have a Nikon D3300. My problem is, the focus/autofocus thingy isn't working in Live View mode. I see the green rectangle, but doesn't matters where I am clicking, no focusing at all. The upper-left "autofocus" button seems dead too.

I did try reinstalling the software, restoring the default settings, without success. I saw some videos on Youtube, users can do autofocus with D3300, so this feature _is supported_ with this DSLR. Unfortunately their settings doesn't seems working for me.

Any help would be welcome.

The D3300 officially isn't support tethering, so some features isn't work when is connected via USB

Unfortunately yes, you are right. I also found an official statement, that Digicamcontrol or other softwares can not use the autofocus option in Live View. Apart from this, everything seems all right.
