Live View canon camera Busy fix

Post by coreXenon » Thu Apr 05, 2018 3:53 pm

Hi to everyone on the forum

I am a studio technician working with bullet time and other fx products
we mainly work with canon cameras after finding out about digicamcontrol and its functionality I thought I give it a try.
everything works great apart from live view when I try and record I get an error message.

Device Busy.
Failed to set property integer data: propertyId 1296, data 0

I have tried the the following cameras
500d
1100d
1200d
1300d
7d
5d
i have tried two different laptops i5s running windows 7 and 10 64bit
and an i7 desktop and different USB cables with no luck
all with
Device Busy.
Failed to set property integer data: propertyId

I am hoping to get this working as its a well-featured program

Thanks looking forward to you reply.

Hello to everyone

I haven't had much time to investigate the problem but I have found a workaround to get the record mode working.

this is only for canon users.

You will need to install magic lantern firmware to your sd card which is very easy to do.
please make sure you download the right firmware for your camera :)
that's all folks.

so far I have tried the following cameras.

I have tried the following cameras
500d - Working
1100d - Working
1200d - Working
1300d - ?
7d Working
5d mk3 - ?

Hello
thanks for this good news.

The liveview was working for my EOS 1100D, but not the photobooth application.
So i gave a try with this firmware.
However, the provided photobooth still not show the view and take no picture.
If you have some idea, that would be great.

Regards
