Hi,

I am trying to do focus stacking, and the youtube demo video makes it look simple. However, whenever I try to take a medium /large step further ( infinity ) ; it takes almost 30-45 seconds before the view updates with the focus. If i have to take 6-8 steps, it effectively becomes completely unusable. I cant figure out why this would happen, the youtube video shows it responding instantly, and its pretty instant on the EOS software.

Also I recommend the following, autofocus / double click focus , lock nearest point. Drag the focus elsewhere , double click focus (use steps to clean up) lock farthest point. Currently you cant use autofocus if the point has been defined.

This is with a Canon 5d Mark IV.

Quick update, I managed to fix the very long delay by reducing "wait between steps" to 5, at the moment its there, but definitely much quicker

However, I do think the autofocus method as suggested above should be considered as it will help with stacking.
