Time Lapse using the live view images

I am trying to do a time lapse of an experiment that I'm running to do Digital Image Correlation analysis. The issue is that I set up the shot using live view and the focus is fine. When I then do a time lapse the picture is slightly blurry. I can here that the camera is making a different sound when I take pictures using live view and time lapse. Is there any way I can get time lapse pictures from the live view and not lose focus?
