First Print is Blurry

Hello! I'm a new user and had a somewhat successful first experience with version 2.1.2.0 on 12/23 & 12/24 while setup for a step and repeat at my church. Using a Canon EOS R with the RF 24-105 lens in large JPG fine, Tethertools cable and a DNP DS620A printer, the issue I had was the first print was blurry using the Print File export plugin. In an attempt to see if they were all blurry, I used the print icon at the top to print a second photo and had it set to print 4x6 which gave it the dimensions of 576 width x 384 height. Subsequent photos came out clear and sharp.
So, setting the Print File export plugin, I did the +Add plugin inside the Print File plugin to resize before printing and that did not help. Also, by adding the plugin to do that before print made it resize the photo before printing, and the pixelation was even worse. I attempted several other things and still couldn't get it to work.
What am I missing?
