it looks like Canon has started back up with the Powershot SDK. Is there any hopes to get the G7x II added to supported list?

The Powershot SDK it is totally different from EDSDK (DSLR sdk) do required to be implemented but without a G7X II will be almost impossible, and the G7X II isn't cheap at all. If i understand right, to use G7X II with the sdk required a firmware update but after that you can't use the camera for normal capture, i don't know if this update can be reverted or i misunderstand something ....
