Hi there

Really appreciate your work on this.

Some feedback on the Nikon Z50 - the software is recognising the camera (model, aperture etc) but can't get Live View to work (note that it works fine on digiCamControl).

Regards

Stephen

re: June 3 edition. I've tested and am OH SO HAPPY :)

Bottom line: you've added control features AND have made live view work continuously. CONGRATULATIONS!
All that remains is stability and niggly stuff.

For others who are struggling, here are some hints:

1) This edition ONLY works correctly if you allow it to set the resolution. Change resolution and you no longer get a video feed.
2) The enabling sequence that works for me is:
* Connect everything, including dcc virtual webcam, with DSLR power on.
* Attempt to turn Live View on. It may or may not work
* NOW, (without disconnecting the USB cable) power cycle the DSLR
* When it turns back on, Live View will work. At least, it does for me.

Yep. And this ONLY applies to OBS so far... because with other apps when you attempt to change resolution, it simply remains as it was.
in OBS:
* Choose Properties of the dcc Virtual Camera source
* Change "Resolution/FPS Type" from Device Default to Custom
* Immediately get blanks...

Duka, some quick feedback: last night I ran a 90 minute small group meeting with a dozen people in my home, and another 8 remote on Zoom (all at-risk older friends ;) )... and dcc Virtual Camera was key in making it happen. THANKS!

A few items came up:
* While I'm in action, I still need the Virtual Camera window on occasion for just a few things... but the layout right now forces me to keep it much bigger than necessary. Suggestion:
- Move Focus to top of the left side instead of bottom
- Then start/stop buttons (not sure it needs to say "Live View" -- you and I know that's the tech term, but really it's just start/stop. Could be next to each other...)
- Then all the rest

* "preview image" checkbox... appears to be "live preview" -- the image remains when I uncheck :)

* It would be nice if this app had an option to "close" to the systray/etc, and even to restart itself if it gets in trouble (especially helpful when I'm live in action.)
-- Right now, if it closes, I get a popup about Server Not Available, then OBS shows rotating colors... more than a little distracting to the audience!
-- This can easily happen with just one wrong click. YES, operator error, yet significant consequences.

(Hint: an ethos I have successfully encouraged some other tech dev's to take... consider that I the user, when running live, do NOT want to have to think about my tech tools. If the tech tool can do anything to self-repair or auto-fix an issue, that's a Good Thing during a human meeting.
We call this Humble Tech and Tech That Serves :) :) :) )

Blessings,
Pete

Wow, I love this tool! Thank you for releasing it! I tried it with my Nikon D700, D800 and D850. The D850 obviously has the most features and works pretty well. The only feature I really miss is some kind of higher resolution than 640x424. I get more than 70 fps (which I don't actually need), but resolution wise 1280x720 would be great to have.

I'm guessing resolution depends on the camera's LCD or is there any other limitation?

It is depend on camera model, but it is fixed for every model can't be changed and generally it is low resolution, yes somehow it is linked to lcd resolution

While running DCC, the D90 is recognize but no preview.
