Motion Detection Triggers (Timelapse and Video Recording)

Post by IPS » Wed Apr 17, 2013 11:44 pm

I am very impressed with what I have seen so far with your software. It would be fantastic if you could add the ability to trigger a time lapse sequence by motion detection and also the ability to record a movie triggered by motion detection as well.

For time lapse sequences, I can almost get what I am looking for by using a large Burst Number, Continuous Shooting, Exposure Delay On and Motion Detection. However, this does not give you the ability to change the time between shoots which would be helpful. Perhaps it is possible by changing the exposure delay duration??

Thanks,

Screen capture without triggering the mirror

Is it possible to take a screen capture straight from the live view by pressing a mouse without triggering the mirror of the camera? That would be very helpful when using Workprinter ( http://www.moviestuff.tv/workprinter8mm_function.html ).CineCap does what I want ( http://jeffdod.tripod.com/alternaware2/indexold.htm ), but can't use it with digicams. CineCap alsoconverts stills to NTSC & PAL video frame rates using interpolation. You can select, for example, 12/15/16/18/24 frames per sec avi video.
