WIA 2

Post by d3200john » Thu Oct 17, 2013 12:22 pm

I have been unable to load up Windows Camera Codec as still using XP and it would appear no longer available to me. In one of the forums it suggested loading up Nikon's codec which I did from the link provided. However I am still getting "WIA 2 not found" followed by an error message. Most frustrating as I have now spent hours loading up new service packs and trawling through forums Help would be much appreciatedjohn

Try to run file "c:\Program Files\digiCamControl\regwia.bat" as administrator.

I ran the program as suggested - return message "load library wiaaut.dll failure"

This is the message that came up after WAI 2 missing message when running main program

But thanks for suggestion

After loading up the beat software progress was made - I can now capture pictures but no liveview - as I understand this option is possible but has a few limitations when using a D3200

However at present I do not see the LV option highlighted on main menu screen - have I missed a step?

Thanks

WIA 2 - liveview Nikon D3200

Post by d3200john » Thu Oct 17, 2013 6:06 pm

Apologies for typo - I meant I loaded up the Beta software and made progress

Still struggling to get Liveview to work from my D3200 but noticed on my camera when plugged through to laptop (running xp) that message "cannot support liveview at current settings or under current conditions"

Your problem is similar with  this thread http://digicamcontrol.com/forum/general ... 00sShortly: open device manager, search your camera , right click, properties, drivers, update driver, search D3200.inf file after that the live view should work. The inf file for D3200 :https://nikon-camera-control.googlecode ... /D3200.inf

the device driver id now ends in 6467982 if that means anything

The icon for liveview is still not highlighted

WIA2.0 not installed

Post by deerpark243 » Thu Oct 31, 2013 4:07 am

Hi, I'm new in here and I have the same question as the person had with the WIA 2.0 Not Installed. I just didn't get the resolution to it. Is there a file you download to XP?
