If you own a wifi adapter pls. try to connect the camera with the software (will not work), and upload the log file this log file may help me to figure out how the wifi controling works.

i have a capture file from wireshark with all the data connecting to and capturing/downloading images on a nikon d3200 with the wu-1a adaptor if you are interested in that file.

Thanks for the file. What program do you use for download photos?Pls. try to use digiCamControl and send me the log file (settings->locate log file)

This is using the official nikon android app for the wireless adapter.
I'll try downloading with digi cam this evening and send log.

All day reading about WU-1A adapter, i have bad news this adapter isn't officially  support PC connection.The good part this adapter use PTPIP so can be easylly controled if window recognize it somehow.

you could connect a wifi adapter to the camera, which would be interesting. i just thought the data itself might help even with wired connection.

actually, with wifi support, users with laptops always have a wifi adapter avail. would allow a greater distance from the camera.
the android DSLRDASHBOARD supports connecting to the camera's wifi adapter as well as usb.

just wanted to clarify, the wu-1a acts as a wireless access point, any wifi device can connect to it, just cant control it without software to send commands.
