Hello!
I'm definitely a newbie so i'm hoping i'm just missing something stupid...
A friend recommended this program so i went ahead and downloaded it today.
I installed the software and everything was looking good but when i opened up the program it displays that the camera is connected but i am unable to do anything with it. It wont even diplay the battery percentage.
The camera is connected to the computer (and the computer recognizes it) so i dont think its a driver issue and the program recognizes the camera so... i'm stumped.
Now when i use the stock camera controller it works perfectly. (even thought the stock program sucks)
And i tried unistalling the stable version and installing the beta version.
but that didnt do anything either.
I'm using a sony a6000 camera
and windows 10
please help!

Sony cameras are supported using wifi connection only

thank you for the quick response.
so i went through all the steps to pair my camera with my computer over wifi.
and when i try to connect it with the stable version it doesn't show up.
so i uninstalled and reinstalled the beta version hoping that would fix the problem.
the sony option shows up in the drop down menu now (in the beta)
but when i select it the program stops and goes into the (not responding) mode
there was another thread that talks about a similar issue but i don't know if it was ever resolved.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to pair you camera wifi with your computer first (same way when you connect to a wifi router )

The only thing I could find online was linking it over WiFi through the Sony play memories app for wireless photo transfer.
It required me to link to the router and then plug the camera in to the computer to complete the handshake.
(I can now wirelessly transfer pictures but that's it) I know I'm a newbie and it's probably getting annoying, but would you (or anyone else) be able tell me what steps I need to take to accomplish a proper WiFi connection to my computer?
(Or direct me to a website/thread that explains it?)
