2 Camera Naming Help

Post by tim1198 » Thu Dec 19, 2019 6:59 pm

Hi:
I have 2 cameras configured to snap a photo at the same time. I want to be able to somehow tag those 2 images with the same tag number. Since I'll be taking many sets of these, I want them paired so that I know they were taken at the same time.

-I've tried the [{Camera Name]_DSC[Counter 4 Digit]. However, due to the counter increment, this outputs "camera1_DSC0001" and "camera2_DSC0002". I want these to be tagged "camera1_DSC0001" and "camera2_DSC0001"

-I've come closer with [Camera Name]_DSC[Date mm]_[Date ss] hoping for the seconds to be the same. This is successful most of the time, unless the system clock is not exactly the same. Most of the time, it's what I want:
"camera1_DSC05_03" and "camera2_DSC05_03". Due to clock switching at the wrong time, it sometimes result in a undesirable output: camera1_DSC05_03 and camera2_DSC05_04

-Any ideas on how to always pair these two pictures with the same numbering convention?

Thanks for your help.
Tim

You can use [Camera Name]_DSC__[Camera Counter 4 digit] you can set camera counter from Menu=>Camera=>Camera properties or using multiple camera control
