Esper TriggerBox Multi Cam control

Post by kampgrizzly » Fri Jul 12, 2019 1:31 am

Maybe the following can be accomplished with the MultiCamera USB Relay settings, but I was having no luck.

I recently purchase an Esper Triggerbox camera controller for multi cam shutter release. Its a sweet unit.
https://www.esperhq.com/product/multipl ... riggerbox/

The serial control protocols are straight forward and are outlined here
https://support.esperhq.com/article/61-set-up-procedure
and
https://support.esperhq.com/article/63- ... mand-modes
and
https://support.esperhq.com/article/64- ... mands-list

Is there a way with the existing software to control this module?

You can use Arduino plugin to try to control this device http://digicamcontrol.com/blog/news_2.0.45

I am also trying to get the ESPER Trigger box working as well. The serial baud rate for these boxes is 115200 8,n,1. I believe the baud rate programmed into digicamcontrol is set to 9600.
Is there a way that the baud serial port can be programmed inside of the settings of dgicamcontrol instead of having it hard coded?

It would be nice to develop plugin for the ESPER trigger box to program it's Focus and Shutter output, like something that this program from them performs (but "watered" down): https://support.esperhq.com/support/sol ... x-software. In this program folder, there is a full set of serial commands for the box itself.

Set focus on the box (once all ports have been programmed) with a command of "F1" over the serial port

For the shutter release, it is simply "S" over the serial port

To disengage focus it is "F1"

Is it possible to create a plugin like this? If this isn't in your scope, is there any documentation in creating a plugin that I could add to the program?

Thank you,

Ive been scouring the documents for this and could not find any information on how to set the Arduino plugin up. I went through the source code and found that the water droplet plugin, that uses arduino, is hard coded to 9600 baud.

I added the Arduino device and in that section, there is no way to specify a baud rate, just com port and two shutter release options.

In the plugins, there is just Onscreen buttons to program functions to send but no baud rate.

Do I just set the baud rate of the port directly in the device manager in windows? I tried that with still no luck.

Thank you!
