I tried this for the first time today, it's not what I expected, the small sized live view image isn't really usable. I used my D5200 because it was handy. It is what it is...

Hey Admin!
Works fine for me with my Canon Rebel T5, but I do have one request.
Any chance a windows hotkey can be bound to 'focus' so that I can add it as a button on my streamdeck to force a re-focus? As long as the the virtual webcam application can perform the action while minimized it would work fine for my use.

I really like this software but I don't know if it is right that I just have around 8 FPS.
Can I set this higher somehow?

Hi! Thank you for great software.
My Canon 500D outputs video in 928x616 resolution (according to liveview in digicamcontrol, and when digicamcontrol virtual webcam converts it to 1280x960 for output, result is garbled. Liveview in digicamcontrol is totally fine. Screenshot attached.

Hi!
I'm trying to use DCC as a virtual webcam with a Canon 500D (T1i), but my output to Zoom comes out interlaced. When using the Virtual webcam, the message
"Your camera Live view resolution not supported 720x480. Contact the developer to add it !!!"
Is there any way to solve this?

I have same issue as a previous post... Nikon D800 looks great in Virtual Webcam app, but MUCH video tearing in Zoom. Any suggestions ?

FWIW... I was able to talk to a real human at Zoom and had my question answered. First, having a zoom meeting with just yourself is not a good way to test video performance. Second, internet speed will be a determining factor. Bill

@admin a few users reported extreme CPU usage when using digiCamControl Virtual Webcam with OBS Studio.
Have you checked this issue?
I figure out that this high CPU usage is related to "digiCamControl Virtual Webcam" as "Video capture device" added as source in OBS Studio.
If you may try just add a "Video capture device" and choose "DCC virtual camera as device".
Next, when I open "digiCamControl Virtual Webcam" and then "Obs Studio" I get 80% CPU usage without even starting recording.
I have a Core i5 + Nvidia GTX 1650 Super + 8GB RAM setup.
Maybe it isn't enough though

I'm getting the same issue (after about 10 minutes) with a Nikon D7100, and the following laptop specs: Intel Core i7-10750H CPU, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, 16 GB of main RAM, and 6GB of dedicated VRAM. I've also tried using the main DigicamControl program, but instead I run into an issue where the feed freezes after 10 minutes or so (and will not unfreeze unless I restart everything). I also don't have to start streaming to get this issue.

New here, saw this recommended for using a DSLR I have a Nikon D3400 for a webcam for streaming/Skype/Zoom.
I was installing the digiCamControl Virtual Webcam and encountered the error:
Setup
Registering C:Program Files x86digiCamControl Virtual Webcamx64DCCVirtualCam.dll failed with code 3
Is that going to cause an issue with using my DSLR as a webcam?
