Cannot disable autofocus in multiple Nikon D5300 rig.

Post by AndrewJohnDahl » Wed Mar 18, 2015 6:39 am

I have a rig of 4 x Nikon D5300 to use for multiple time lapse photography.I would like to set up focus for each camera and then take photos without using the autofocus feature. The manual shows me that this can be done in the multi camea dialog box by selecting the "Disable autofocus" check box. However, when we connect our cameras this button is greyed out and we cannot select this box.Is anyone able to let me know what I have to do to make this work? I can find nothing in the manual or forum to cover this issue.Best RegardsAndrew

Hi that option was removed because not working reliable. You can set the focus to manual focus the selected camera using left part camera properties and after that hit the set as master button this will copy all settings to the all connected cameras
