I had the same problem when connecting my camera (Canon 5DmkV) to a laptop. I reduced the screen resolution of the laptop and the SW works perfectly. I suggest giving a try.

I had the same issue (no live view) with my laptop (in 4k resolution). I switched to a lower resolution and everything works fine. Other users had the same experience (with different computers and different cameras). I don't know if it could be the same for you...

I noticed that sometimes there is an issue in using LiveView at high computer screen resolution. See for example the following topic: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5124
I don't know if this is the case for you too.

Have you tried changing display resolution?
I have problems with my Dell notebook using 4k resolution. I don't see anything when I try the liveview. But if I reduce display resolution everuthing works fine.
I' don't know if you have a similar problem but...

As I wrote in my post (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4886) my desktop computer works fine.
And my Dell XPS13 works correctly if I reduce the display resolution...

I have a similar problem with my Dell XPS 13, but only at the highest possible screen resolution (4k).
Are you using this resolution? When I switch to FullHD resolution the software works fine.

My Camera: Canon 5D Mark IV My Laptop: Dell XPS13 9365 When I connect the camera and try to use the Liveview with the Canon EOS Utility everything is fine. If I try to do the same using digiCamCon...
