Multiple PCs for networked capture (70 cams)

Post by eyebee » Wed Mar 17, 2021 9:35 pm

Hi,

First of all thanks so much for putting this software out there for the community!

I'm setting up a multiple camera rig for photogrammetry and hitting USB limitations on a single computer.

I'm wondering if anyone (or the developer) has used two networked machines with this software as a solution to get around the USB limitations, and if you have any suggestions on how to go about setting it up?

Using Nikon D3300s connected to the computer via powered USB hubs, cameras are being triggered externally.

Many thanks!

I'll just add that I've been using this software with 48 cameras (on a single machine using PCIE hubs) for photogrammetry but am now expanding the rig. Currently the limit seems to be on the PC rather than the software, hence thinking about two networked machines but open to other suggestions.

Thanks

Hi, so it is used for file transfer and sometimes to sync the settings (such as shutter speed) in the multiple camera view. All triggering happens with on camera remotes.

Thanks
