D7100 has incredibly bad connectors to pc cable; I have complained to Nikon about this but they have deaf ears. Consequently, the cameras fairly often disconnect and reconnect creating the camera image animation as a distraction.
I see that this was possible at some point by modifying an xml file... is this possible once again?

It can be removed via branding feature
