Canon R 5 and CR3 files

Hi
I have a Canon R5 and have downloaded the digiCamControl program. It does everything its supposed to do including Live View. But, it will not display my CR3 files. I just get a thumbnail circle at the bottom of the preview screen and nothging else. I can access the files through file manager and open them in another program, but that defeats the purpose of this program
Any ideas or settings that i should know about. The software says it supports R 5 Raw files.
